Hello! My name is Shrina Jasani and I am a current senior from Strongsville, OH. I major in biomedical science and minor in bioethics, health communication, and pharmaceutical science. After graduation, I hope to pursue a career in medicine and help bridge the gaps between medical and social care. 

I started volunteering at Ohio State’s Total Health and Wellness Clinic during my freshman year through the student organization ENCompass: Empowering Neighborhoods of Columbus. I learned it is challenging to provide equitable care because patients in underserved populations often lack stable access to essential resources outside of hospital walls. Understanding how fortunate my family is, I want to use my privilege to help others. Especially after seeing how the pandemic exacerbated these persistent systemic healthcare inequities, it is vital for us as a community to support one another.
