8th Annual WAIP Crowdfunding Campaign

Although our giving page is no longer active, you can still donate. If you would like to provide any additional support, please make a gift here.

The Washington Academic Internship Program (WAIP) selects outstanding undergraduate students from across The Ohio State University to spend a semester living, learning and interning in Washington, D.C. as John Glenn Fellows. Our mission is to support and develop the next generation of anti-racist public servants.

WAIP plays a critical role in the professional development of Buckeyes interested in public service.

For 23 years, students have been traveling from Columbus to D.C. to work in internships that reflect their career goals and academic interests. Students participating in this program deepen their understanding of the federal policy environment and many return to Washington after graduation, crediting their early career-success to WAIP.

Your gift offsets the cost of housing, making this experience more accessible to all students.

Through this campaign, we have collectively raised over $140,000 (from more than 1,000 donations) for student scholarships. With dramatic rises in housing costs, the need for support is greater than ever.

Help us ensure that every deserving student has the chance to participate. Every gift — no matter the size — makes a difference.
