Why am I sending my gift to Chicago?

Here at The Ohio State University Foundation, we hold the security and efficient processing of your contributions in the highest regard. To ensure the highest level of financial security and streamline your donation process, we have partnered with our bank, JPMorgan Chase, which has a processing center in Chicago. This collaboration allows us to capitalize on advanced security measures, state-of-the-art technology and rigorous protocols that safeguard your contributions throughout the transaction.

Banks are increasingly establishing regional operations for lockboxes, and JPMorgan Chase no longer has a lockbox operation in Ohio. While we have considered alternative banking relationships in light of this development, we have decided it best to remain with our current bank.

Directly sending your donations to our bank's Chicago address enhances the security of your generous contributions and expedites the processing timeline, enabling us to allocate your donation more swiftly to the initiatives you are supporting. Rest assured that every dollar you contribute is handled with the utmost care and responsibility.
