Voting turnout from all Ohio State campuses will be included when deciding the winner for The Big Ten Voting Challenge.
Only 14.5% of eligible Ohio State students voted in the 2014 November election. With the 2018 midterm elections approaching, OSU Votes is determined to improve student voter turnout on our campus.
22 OSU Votes Ambassadors facilitate workshops, training, and tabling across the Columbus campus with the goal of registering as many students as possible before the October 9th registration deadline. With only 22 of us and 60,000+ of you, your donation helps spread our message.
Data indicates that in presidential elections, Ohio State student voter turnout is strong. In 2012, 48.3% of all eligible students voted, and this figure climbed to 59.1% in 2016.
Through targeted programming, OSU Votes has the capacity to send 1,200 students to participate in early voter busing to the Franklin County Board of Elections.
