Donors to the Fund for the Ohio State College of Medicine make an immeasurable difference in the lives of students that can change the trajectory of their careers. 

I am beyond honored to be a recipient of the 2018 OSU Medical Class of 1969 Scholarship. As a student with debt from a Master of Science degree prior to matriculating at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, this scholarship has played a large role in alleviating some of the financial stress that comes with obtaining a medical education. 

I was born and raised in Nigeria and moved to the United States at the age of ten. I attended Brown University and graduated in 2011 with a B.S in Psychology. I then conducted research at the National Institutes of Health for 4 years prior to matriculating at OSUCOM in 2015. I obtained a M.S in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University toward the end of my time at the NIH.

I am now a 4th year student at OSUCOM and applying to residency programs with the end-goal of becoming an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. I look forward to positively impacting the life of every woman I am privileged to care for, and I plan on providing a voice for those who unfortunately don’t have one in this day and age.

My time at The Ohio State University College of Medicine has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve been blessed with so many great opportunities, and although the path to a medical career is not an easy one, OSUCOM has made it a worthwhile journey. Donors like you truly make a difference and I want to express just how much I appreciate the difference you’ve specifically made in MY life. Although I might not get to meet you in-person, I look forward to making you proud from afar, setting an example with my actions as I progress in my career.
