We have finally reached Spring! Finally we have consistent weather to train on the water, and we are turning our eyes toward competing (our first official race is Lubber's Cup April 6-7) and eventually toward the medal stand at ACRA. That being said, we are now entering the final 4 days of the campaign to raise money for that trip!!
We have nearly reached 30% of our goal, but we're going to make a final push to reach for the line. Just like in the final 250m of a race, the coxswains get loud, the stroke rate builds, and the athletes give everything they have left, we are going to do the same for the end of the fundraiser.
Share the campaign with friends and family, or consider a second donation if you've already given, it's time to finish this race!!
After a successful week of training in Lake Lure, North Carolina, the team is finally returning to Columbus.
This week kicks off the spring racing and water schedule, which can be found here: http://osucrew.org/schedule
Some video from spring training can be found below.
Now almost 3 weeks into our campaign, we are just under 20% to our goal. Please continue to share our campaign and donate what you can.
Thank you to those who have already given.
As we look forward to Spring Break starting this coming Saturday, we are finishing off our goals and improvements from winter.
Last week, we raced our final Winter 2k at the Midwest Championship Erg Sprints and finished with some notable results:
ICYMI:
Women Open Novice: Megan Manco (Silver) Women’s Open Nora Boyle (Silver) Mary Honaker (Bronze)
Men’s lightweight Novice Josh Rocheleau (Gold) Will Bridges (Bronze)
Men’s novice John Duhigg (Gold) Paul Wittmann (Silver) Chase Jadrych bronze
Men’s open lightweight Brian Mingus (Gold) Dillan Thompson (Bronze)
Men’s open Harrison Ellis (Gold) Austin knorz (Bronze)

As we shift to the water this coming weekend, our sights are zeroed in on ACRA. So far, we have raised a little under 10% of our goal. Any contributions would be appreciated. The trip will be costly, but there is no better place to show off how much speed we’ve gained through the winter months.
Thank you to those that have contributed so far!
A coxswain may ask their rowers to give 10 strokes as hard as they can in order to gain distance on another competing boat. Will you give a Power 10 for our team?
Founded in 1978, the team has been training young men and women for 41 years. Please help continue the team's tradition of success with a donation today!
During a 2k sprint race, the boat will be rowing at a minimum of 32 strokes per minute. Will you give 32 for the Crew?
The team currently has a 55 member roster, the largest in the past 6 years! A contribution of just under a dollar for each member can go a long way.
The team rents passenger vans in order to get all the athletes to Georgia. This level covers the rental cost for one van for a day.
In the last 250m of a 2000m race, the crew kicks it into high gear to finish through the line. Help us finish the campaign the same way!
From the first day of class, athletes have 277 days to get stronger, faster, and more skilled than their competition in preparation for the ACRA National Championship. This level gives a dollar a day for the scarlet and grey!
The team will be traveling 529 miles (each way!) on their trip to the national championship regatta. This level is a contribution of a dollar for each mile on the road trip to ACRA.
2000 meters of water lie between the starting blocks and the finish line of a race. Please consider donating a dollar for every meter that the Buckeyes will be racing.
