It is an incredibly exciting time for our Women’s Volleyball program. We are finally healthy, have one of the top recruiting classes in the nation coming into our family and are only a few months away from moving into our new home, the Covelli Center.
To add to this next chapter, our ladies are preparing for a trip of a lifetime to South America this summer. Our team will be traveling to Brazil and Peru to compete, explore the amazing cultures each country has to offer and to build strong connections through community service.
We will train with and compete against some of the best players in the world in Rio de Janeiro, home of our own Buckeye, Bia Franklin. Our group will then leave Brazil and fly to Lima, Peru to train and compete alongside their national teams.
When considering where to travel for our trip, it was essential to me for our student-athletes to have a transformative experience beyond volleyball. Built into our team’s trip will be unique, life impacting moments very few will ever get the opportunity be a part of. Our student-athletes will work together in sustainable community service projects with Peruvian children and adults. The overarching purpose is to develop lifelong relationships via projects that have meaning and worth to the Peruvian community. Finally, our student-athletes will spend the last days of our trip at Machu Picchu, exploring all the incredible history and sights it has to offer.
This is where you can become an invaluable part of our Buckeye student-athletes’ journey. Our trip is being made possible entirely through the generous donations and support of Buckeye Nation as well as past, present and future friends of our program. All support given to our international trip is truly appreciated by our players and coaches. We look forward to sharing the memories of this unbelievable trip to South America with you.

A donation of $300 pays for a student-athlete’s flight from Rio de Janeiro to Lima, Peru.
A donation of $500 covers two nights of lodging and transportation for one student-athlete.
A donation of $1000 funds the entire round trip airfare for a student-athlete.
A donation of $1500 covers the hotels and trip to Machu Picchu for 2 student-athletes
A donation of $6500 funds the entire 10 day trip for one student-athlete
