And with that, the Buckeye Funder is officially closed! Thank you so much to all who supported this first ever campaign for Buck-I-SERV's travel assistance fund. Though we ended up falling short of our goal, we are still proud of what we have accomplished (and learned some great lessons for next time). The funds we did raise will still go toward providing assistance for students going forward, which will ensure more students are able to get their own Buck-I-SERV experience.

An enormous, overwhelming thank you to all of you who donated. Because of people like you, Buck-I-SERV can continue to travel, learn, and serve to the best of our ability. Another week of Buck-I-SERV's BuckeyeFunder has come and gone, and we keep making progress towards our goal! As always, a huge thank you to those who have already donated, we greatly appreciate your support.

Interested in where Buck-I-SERV will be travelling, learning, and serving this winter season? This seems like as good a time as any to highlight some of those locations. Here are some of the places we will be in just under two months:

• Includes trips with the two community partners we have been working with the longest, One Heartland in Willow River, Minnesota and Food and Friends in Washington, D.C. (both since 2004)
• State with the most trips: Florida (5 trips)
• New domestic trips: Carolina Tiger Rescue in Pittsboro, NC and OUTMemphis in Memphis, Tennessee

• Locations: Guatemala, Ghana, Uruguay, and Costa Rica
• New international trip: Rizoma Field School in Colonia, Uruguay

Well it's official, we have passed $1,000 raised for the Buck-I-SERV BuckeyeFunder! Thank you so much to all who have donated, we greatly appreciate your support. We still have a ways to go but we are off to a good start.

In a little Buck-I-SERV program related news, last night (Wednesday, 10/16) was Buck-I-SERV's Winter Trip Kickoff. We will be sending around 400 total participants on trips this winter and many of them were able to make it last night, connect with their group, and learn more about the experience they are about to have. We cannot wait to see what these awesome folks accomplish!

As of last week the BuckeyeFunder for Buck-I-SERV's new travel assistance fund is officially underway! Thank you to everyone who has already made a donation, your contributions will go a long way to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to engage in a Buck-I-SERV experience. We still have a ways to go but I am confident with the continued support of our awesome friends, family, program alumni, and more we can make this goal a reality.
