Although our giving page is no longer active, you can still donate. If you would like to provide any additional support to our project, please do so here.
BuckeyeThon changes the lives of Ohio State students as much as it changes the lives of the kids they serve: the kids fighting cancer at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Each year, thousands of students volunteer to fundraise a minimum of $250 and stand for 12-hours in support of young cancer patients. They do so selflessly, but we often hear of the incredible positive impact that participation has on students. We want to make sure every student has the opportunity to have this experience.
Last year, there were hundreds of students who wanted to participate in the Dance Marathon who did not have the financial means nor personal networks to do so. This year, we want to ensure that no student is in that position.
We are asking past participants to make a gift in support of students who would otherwise be unable to participate. We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to join in this movement, to see the power of philanthropy at Ohio State, and to experience the joy that this community brings to the kids treated on the Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant floor of Nationwide Children's Hospital.
A gift through this page will be directed to support those individuals of greatest need. However, if you are interested in giving to a specific individual, please visit BuckeyeThon's website here.
When students receive a donation, they are more than twice as likely to receive a second donation that day. Give them the boost they need to keep fundraising For The Kids!
BuckeyeThon donors give an average of about $50 per gift. You can be that ideal donor for students who don't have the network to support their fundraising!
Last year, the majority of students who did not reach their minimum needed $75 or less to be able to attend the Dance Marathon!
Prior to 2016, the minimum to attend the Dance Marathon was $100. If you attended a Dance Marathon before then, consider giving as generously as your donors gave to you, and support up to 4 students!
This year, 5,700 students agreed to raise $250 to attend the Dance Marathon; your donation could help up to 10 students reach that goal!
