Greetings from the 41st AAHF Committee

December 03, 2018

This year marks 41 years of the African American Heritage Festival at Ohio State. Your support and contributions to the 39th Festival is why we have been able to sustain and advance our mission for the past few years. Our theme “Uplift: Aspire to Inspire” will be central to our planning process as we develop new and inspiring ways to uplift our community through the Festival.

As we continue to grow and we embark on our 41st year, we further seek support. At this time, AAHF is embarking on our Annual Fund Campaign.  We invite you to make a gift that will help us create new and meaningful opportunities to serve our community. Although we have been able to maintain a 40-year legacy with the festival, we are hoping to enhance our events, bring in bigger artists, and extend our reach both within and beyond the OSU community. To do this, we need your support! We hope you consider making a gift to help us reach out goal. To learn more and donate, please click here.

Thank you in advance for supporting AAHF and for participating in our first annual fund campaign!

THANK YOU!

Greetings Friends and Family of the African American Heritage Festival

April 27, 2016

We are in the final two days of our crowd funding and we are so excited! We are so close to our goal, and ask if you have not considered giving yet that you would make a commitment within the next 48 hours. This festival and leadership experience for Black students is truly one of a kind. The impact is truly powerful and we want to see the legacy continue for the next 40 years. As we prepare for the 40th anniversary of the African American Heritage Festival, we truly want to make this event something that the OSU community, alumni, and current students will remember. Your dollars will go towards enhancing what will be a major financial undertaking. The return on your investments will be an empowered African American Buckeye community who are trailblazers at one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious institutions.

Thank you for your support!!!!!!!!!!!

Greetings Friends of AFAM Initiatives

April 22, 2016

We want to say thank you to all who have given so far in our crowd funding initiative. We had a wonderful 38th African American Heritage festival. We celebrated solidarity through critical conversations, the arts and music, and through mentoring the next generation for 8-days and it was beautiful!!! Most important, many of our students in the AFAM community left this experience feeling motivated and affirmed at OSU. We are already thinking ahead to next year when we will be on the dawn of our historic 40th anniversary of the African American Heritage Festival. There is so much meaning to a program celebrating the legacy of the African American Experience on a campus like OSU. We want to make the 39th and the 40th Heritage Festival grander than ever and celebrate with all of you this major milestone. As you consider a gift, please know that your dollars will be going to a great cause which  will continue to nurture and cultivate Black students at The Ohio State University. We are in the last 8-days of the crowd funding and ask you to please consider this opportunity and give.

Thank you!
