Although our giving page is no longer active, you can still donate. If you would like to provide any additional support to our project, please do so here.
The success of our program has been in large part due to the annual donations provided by family, friends and alumni of the program that help offset the $70,000 annual budget. Our $12,000 goal for donations will go directly towards the following expenses:
The Baseball Club is under the Department of Recreational Sports within the Office of Student Life at The Ohio State University. The club is designed for students who wish to continue their baseball careers, but focus primarily on their education at the university. The program provides, on average, 50 students an opportunity to play competitive baseball versus other collegiate club teams. While the time commitment is significantly less than a varsity level program, the competition is very similar to NCAA Division III programs. We have two teams who compete in the National Club Baseball Association at the Division I and Division II levels. The NCBA is made up of more than 300 teams divided into 3 Divisions.
Each team schedules more than 30 games per season including their annual trip to Tampa, Florida to play 6 games in the NCBA Spring Training Showcase. There is also an opportunity to play in a Regional and World Series playoffs. The program has a .686 win percentage over the past 20 seasons versus college teams and 12 playoff appearances over the past 8 seasons. This success on the field has made the program one of the best in the country with current rankings of #14 out of 138 teams for DI and #6 out of 132 teams for DII.
We sincerely appreciate any donation amount you can provide and thoughtful generosity to the program.
