The preparation for each event is extensive as the event is coordinately entirely by our GKAS team. Here you can see just a glimpse of the labor that goes on behind the scenes, days before the event takes place. In the time lapse video, our whole team spent an afternoon putting together procedure bags with all of the necessary dental materials that our student dentists would be using on the day of the event. This includes preparing for cleanings, fillings, and extractions! The night before the events each year we set up every single operatory in the college of dentistry in preparation for the next morning. All of this hard work leaves our team very proud of the work that is accomplished through GKAS and we are so thankful for donors like you for allowing us to continue to do what we love!
$50 is the average cost of a private practice dental visit for a child without dental insurance, but through GKAS children receive care at no cost.
