On behalf of 4-H Camp Palmer and the thousands of young lives that have been transformed by Camp, we wish to thank you for your support of our Buckeye Funder Campaign. This special campaign allowed us to generate just over $20,000 to help continue to keep our camp viable and continue our mission for future generations of campers. While our public campaign to raise funds has come to an end, please know that the need is still real. The Buckeye Funder platform will continue to be available for donations through the end of August if you or someone you know feels compelled to pay it forward to future generations of campers.

Here we are. We are in the final week of the Buckeye Funder. We have had over 166 different donors. We have seen donations from over 15 states. We have sang camp songs, talked traditions and reminisced about skits. We are so close to achieving our goal thanks to our 4H Camp Palmer family and friends. 

This week we will be thinking and reflecting on our favorite Camp memories. Is it that first ride on the zipline? Catching a fish? Dancing with someone special? Staying away from home for the first time? Learning who you are with people who understand you? Camp memories are some of the most special. Experiences at camp have helped shape the lives of youth (and adults) since 1947.

We need your help, now more than ever, to help 4H Camp Palmer financially. Your donation will directly go to experiences that will help make Camp memories for years to come. 

Thanks to all who have supported the campaign so far! We’re thrilled with the support for 4-H Camp Palmer! This campaign is an opportunity for 4-H members, their families, alumni, and supporters to share their love of camp experiences and invest in our immediate future. Together, we have raised $10,116 and growing!

Each week, we have a different theme to spark memories! This week is Camp Traditions! Take a moment this week to reflect on your favorite 4-H camp tradition or camp food. Help us ensure the next generation is able to come to camp and keep the traditions going! Please stand with us in support of 4-H Camp Palmer, which is near and dear to our hearts. We are anxious to get back to camp next summer, but without this year’s income, immediate help is needed. Please give today. It’s an investment in tomorrow’s leaders.

Wow, what a great way to kick-off our campaign!  4-H Camp Palmer is thankful for all the donations on day one of this giving campaign. Let’s keep that momentum moving forward and help us “Keep Camp Afloat!” We want to be sure opportunities for camp songs, campfire skits, and memories are there for kids next year and many years to come.

We have all acknowledged our own sadness as a result of camps being cancelled this summer, but our 4-H’ers have proven to be resilient and encouraging in the midst of this decision. Protecting our 4-H family of youth, volunteers and staff is our number one priority and we know that this was the right decision to keep everyone safe during these challenging times.

As a result of these camp closures, the loss of income is hitting 4-H Camp Palmer hard. To keep camp fees down, 4-H Camp Palmer runs on a very tight budget with little room to withstand the substantial loss they are currently experiencing. Collectively, Ohio 4-H camps will lose roughly $1.1 million dollars in revenue.

Please stand with us in support of Ohio 4-H camps, and specifically, 4-H Camp Palmer which is near and dear to our hearts. While we are anxious to welcome everyone back next year, your help is needed to sustain camp which will be without income until next camping season.  By making a donation, you’re making an investment in 4-H Camp Palmer to continue growing true leaders for tomorrow.
