One of the most impactful components of the Fisher Futures Investment Banking program is the trips we take to New York and Chicago. Every year, students mention the trips when asked what was most valuable to them as members of the Fisher Futures program. And our alumni are key to the success - assisting with setting up meetings at their firms and bringing other professionals into the presentations. This creates great networking opportunities for the students.
Although we will not be hosting trips this year, students find that they may need to make multiple trips to their desired city for networking purposes and this can become financially challenging. In an effort to provide greater access, we are hoping to provide financial support for students making networking trips. Additionally, we want to continue to provide Wall Street Prep certification and other program initiatives. With Ohio State facing significant budget cuts due to COVID-19, these goals are more challenging to achieve; therefore, we are reaching out to our alumni and friends of the program. A $614 donation will essentially support access to Wall Street Prep for about 10 students, and a $334 donation will support access to Wall Street Prep for about 5 students. Anything we raise above this will support networking trips for students, will ensure we can continue to hire program coordinators and allow us to grow the program with additional initiatives.
The Fisher Futures program is one of our most meaningful and successful programs. The alumni support has been critical to the success of this program - we literally could not do it without you!
I'm hoping we can once again count on your support, and that you will feel a donation to our Buckeye Funder campaign will give you a sense of connection back to Ohio State and Fisher!
Cheers!
