Homecoming Court 2020: Rachel Barrett

$356 raised from 10 gifts

Join me in supporting autism research and education.

Although my giving page is no longer active, you can still donate. If you would like to provide any additional support, please do so here.

Hello all! My name is Rachel Barrett, and I am from Cleveland, Ohio. I am currently a fourth year and graduate student in the Fisher College of Business. This year, I am working on my undergraduate and graduate degree in accounting. I am also a dance minor! After graduation, I am moving to Chicago, Illinois and will be working for Deloitte in their audit department. I am also planning to take the CPA exam. On campus, I am involved in Beta Alpha Psi, Movement Variations Dance Team, Alpha Xi Delta, Order of Omega and the Accounting Honors Program. I have met so many wonderful people through my campus involvements and made friendships that I know will last a lifetime!

The reason why I chose to support the Autism Research & Education Fund is because of my sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. The national philanthropy that Alpha Xi Delta supports is Autism Speaks. Through our philanthropy events such as the Columbus Autism Speaks Walk, I have been privileged to meet the families and friends of children with autism. Hearing their incredible stories and sacrifices is always a very moving experience for me. Raising a child with autism can not only be challenging, but very expensive as well. I want to use my voice and platform to raise funds and awareness so that children with autism can receive the resources they need to learn, without the extra expenses. All of your support and donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you and Go Bucks!
