Hello everyone. My name is Faith Delnasoir Nimely, and I am a fifth-year accounting student at Fisher College of Business. I am on track to earn my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and take my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exams by May 2021. Outside of the classroom, I engage in student groups and professional development programs such as the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), Residence Life, 22nd Honor Cohort and Project Thrive. One of my favorite involvements during my time here at Ohio State is my position in Residence Life. I was a Resident Advisor for two years where I managed and created programs for 37 female residents, and now I am the Resident Manager for Raney House, where I am managing our front desk operation with a staff of 13 people. I am very fortunate for having the opportunities that Ohio State has given me, and I want to pay it forward for the next generation of buckeyes. Therefore, I have decided to raise funds for The Ohio State Fund for Scholarships.

I am passionate about advancing the education of the next generation of students because of my past experience growing up in Liberia. For the eleven years during which I attended school in Liberia, I never realized that my country was one of the poorest and most illiterate countries in the world. A major reason for my lack of understanding was the fact that I attended a private school. While I knew my mother worried about money, and my father was living in America, I was always able to attend school. I now understand that a major part of my success has been having two hard-working parents who provided access to food, education and transportation. This realization has inspired me to advocate for students who have not had access to these privileges. The Ohio State Fund for Scholarships gives buckeyes an affordable and accessible education. This scholarship can give other students what my parents selflessly gave me.

The Ohio State Fund for Scholarships will reduce the burden of debt on many students and make education more accessible for people who may not be able to attend college otherwise. I believe that anyone, if given the chance and support that I received, can achieve their definition of success. When someone is given a chance to pursue a quality education, they can go back to their community and pay it forward. This is what I hope to do someday, and I look forward to supporting other students in their pursuit of a quality education. Thank you for any donation that you can make, big or small. Your contribution will help me make a difference to those in need and I promise to keep you posted about my fundraising. If you can share my Buckeye Funder project with anyone, whether that be on social media or to your five closest friends, it would help me give back something great to an institution that has significantly contributed to my growth as a person and as a professional. Thank you!
