Although our giving page is no longer active, you can still donate. If you would like to provide any additional support to our project, please do so here.
While I was in third grade, my mom, Renee O'Shaughnessy, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Witnessing the hardship of the disease, I wanted to do something to help others going through the same treatment. I created “Day of Pink,” a school wide, breast cancer awareness, charitable event. The objective of Day of Pink is to raise awareness about breast cancer by encouraging students to wear pink on October 23rd.
Day of Pink has established this giving page to collect money to directly support the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Patient Assistance. The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Patient Assistance has helped to assist breast cancer patients with non-medical needs related to their cancer treatment.
Day of Pink's goal is to raise $3,000 for the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Patient Assistance, and to raise awareness about breast cancer. With the help of my school's principals, teachers and fellow classmates, I know we can reach this goal together. Due to COVID-19, we cannot do a traditional change collection, so please, donate anything you can and wear pink this Friday!
Thank you so much for all of your help,
Katie O'Shaughnessy
