Dear Class of 1966,
Our 55th College of Nursing reunion is October 8-9, 2021. Do you remember classes in Starling Loving, meals in the cafeteria of Neil Hall, crisp fall days on the Oval and in the Stadium? We do and hope you will join us to celebrate all these wonderful memories and more this fall.
To honor and celebrate the Class of 1966, we are raising funds for the College of Nursing building addition project. Newton Hall, the College of Nursing building, is over 50 years old and the new addition is badly needed. Over the last several years the college has experienced tremendous growth in enrollment, and in the breadth and depths of initiatives of the academic programs, research and evidence-based practice.
Currently there are approximately 2,400 students enrolled in the two undergraduate degree programs, three master's degree programs and two doctoral programs, as well as the 10 programs leading to certification. U.S. News & work Report ranks several of the degree programs and program specializations among the top ten in the nation. Additionally, the College has grown from 119 Faculty and Staff in 2012 to 341 today!
Our class is coming together to establish a lasting legacy through philanthropic support to the building addition. We have a collective goal of raising $100,000 towards the naming of a space in the new building. We hope you will join us!
