The Remote Area Medical Columbus Community Host Group (RAM CHG) is partnering with Remote Area Medical (RAM) to provide completely free medical, dental, and vision care to underserved and underinsured individuals and families in Columbus, Ohio. We hope to bring a 2-day clinic hosted at East High School on July 10-11th to serve a projected 400 patients or more in Central Ohio. Any person is welcome to the clinic and identification is not required to receive these free services.
Our dental services include cleanings, fillings, or extractions. Vision patients may receive a pair of glasses made on the spot in our vision truck and an eye prescription free of charge. Dental and vision care are not routinely covered by original Medicare and are not typically offered at other free health clinics in the area. Our medical unit features routine medical check-ups and the opportunity to visit specialists in fields like women’s health. These services are made possible through the help of our incredible professional volunteers.
The CHG is comprised mostly of Ohio State undergraduates who have partnered with RAM USA to organize the location, fundraising, and hospitality aspects of this clinic. All while being full-time students, we have established partnerships with Columbus Public Health, Franklin County Public Health, Columbus Foundation, Ohio State College of Nursing, Case Western Dental School, Healthcare Collaborative of Greater Columbus, local non-profits, and many other community partners.
We dreamed of bringing a RAM clinic to Columbus nearly two years ago and are thrilled to finally host one this July 2021. Your monetary donation supports this July’s clinic and future clinics. As we have continued this planning process, we have been overwhelmed by community support for our initiative. Please consider donating to continue to support the Columbus community in an impactful, profound way!

This will support and enable all patients to see a primary care provider for health check-ups. Primary care is the frontline of healthcare and can catch and prevent future health complications!
This will help provide all patients a dental cleaning and a bright smile! Oral hygiene is important to prevent cavities, tooth protection, and keeping gums healthy, which is the first preventative measure needed to prevent oral complications.
This will help provide all patients with free prescription glasses! Patients will be able to pick the frame of their choice and bring home a brand new set the same day!
This will help provide free dental fillings and extractions to all patients! Oral complications lead to these procedures as the next steps for patients to alleviate dental pain.
This will help support and provide all patients with all three medical, dental, and vision care for a comprehensive check-up and procedures for the entire year!
