Welcome to the official page for the 9th Clam Bake fundraiser benefiting The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC-James)! This would have been the 10th year, but we all know what happened. In 2019, we raised more than $4,000 and hope to get close again in 2021!

This year, we will be hosting the event at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 24 at our home - 525 Meadoway Park, Worthington, OH 43085. A $25 or higher donation will get you access to our all-you-can-eat clam bake.

Rob's Story

My name is Rob Oleksa. In May 2013, doctors diagnosed me with stage 3 testicular cancer. I knew right then and there that we would do anything necessary to defeat it, and that it would not end me - because there's just too much left to do at age 24. Thanks to the support of my close friends, family, co-workers and medical staffs with both the Ohio State's Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and IU Health, I am in remission... after three surgeries, numerous chemotherapy rounds and two stem cell transplants. 

This experience will always be a part of me and I wish to help those in need, as I received assistance when it mattered most. This year, all funds donated will go directly to the Cancer Strategic Support Fund. This fund supports The James/Solove CHRI for strategic initiatives or research as directed by the CEO and the Senior Executive Director of The James.
