The Women's Glee Club (WGC) at The Ohio State University was established in 1903. The group of roughly 60 music-loving students strives to connect and empower women through music-making and sisterhood by challenging them to find their own voices. Comprised of a variety of majors and interests with singers ranging from freshmen to graduate students, WGC sets an example to the university of what it truly means to bond and be part of a team. Members continually work to expand musicianship through challenging and varied repertoire.
After a year of quarantine and isolation, our goal this year has been to create meaningful music that aims to foster lasting relationships that we were unable to create during the pandemic. The message our music portrays acknowledges the global pandemic without dwelling on it. During these unprecedented times, our members are spreading hope to our community through art and even feature a piece arranged specifically for our choir by singer-songwriter, Ingrid Michaelson.
To promote their message of hope, The Women’s Glee Club will hold a spring concert with musical selections that focus on different stages of life. Make a gift to help us raise funds for our 2022 spring concert! Funds donated will go towards: music fees, uniforms, performances and enrichment opportunities for our members.
We love being a part of The Ohio State University! Go Buckeyes!
