On July 24, 2022, I will complete the Ohio 70.3 Ironman in Sandusky, Ohio. As part of my training, I would like to raise money to support the Blue Beautiful Skies Fund for Lung Cancer Research in memory of my mom, Joni, who passed away in July 2021 after a 5 1/2 year battle with lung cancer.
Currently, lung cancer accounts for 27% of all cancer deaths but receives a fraction of the funding compared to other types of cancer. Through your generous donations, which will go directly to the Blue Beautiful Skies Fund for Lung Cancer Research, scientists and researchers can continue to improve upon ground-breaking research, research training, early detection and lung cancer prevention.
