The fundraising campaign has closed, and once again, we'd like to thank you all for your tremendous generosity. We are extremely grateful that OH-NBASLH is backed by a department/community that deeply values and supports its students of color. 

Thanks to your donations, OH-NBASLH will be able to lend financial support to members wishing to take part in the 44th Annual NBASLH Convention in March!

We are inspired by your kindness and more motivated than ever to continue our quest to enhance the experiences of Black students pursuing careers in Speech and Hearing Sciences.

As we've watched the donations pour in over the last several weeks, feelings of excitement, awe, and gratitude have reverberated throughout our organization. There isn't a member among us who hasn't been moved by this tremendous exhibition of support.

I can't believe that it is already February-- Black History Month! In honor of this Month, I have been starting each day with an inspirational quote from some of history's Black cultural icons. 

This morning's quote was as follows: "When we're talking about diversity, it's not a box to check. It is a reality that should be deeply felt and held and valued by all of us." - Ava DuVernay

This quote made me think of all of you. Through your donations, you have demonstrated that diversity is something you hold near and dear to your hearts. You have shown that you value and support OHNBASLH's mission to serve as a space where diversity in speech and hearing science is embraced and fostered. I know I speak for all of my fellow charter members when I say that I am deeply moved by this outpouring of generosity.

As of right now, we are so close to our $1,500 goal. The fundraiser will close on February 28th, and, at this rate, I am certain we can achieve our goal!

WOW. As of today, we have raised over $1,200 from 20 generous donations! We are so appreciative of your support. With 30 days left in our fundraising campaign, we are feeling very optimistic that we can achieve our $1,500 goal!

Note from the Vice President: "As one of the charter members of CO-NBASLH, I can't emphasize enough how much this organization has come to mean to me and my fellow co-founders. Over the past year, many hours have been spent building CO-NBASLH into what it is today-- a space for Black speech and hearing students and their allies to gather for professional and personal support. 

Though CO-NBASLH is still a burgeoning organization, we are already seeing the positive impact it is creating in the the lives of its members and in the community at large. Your donations will go a long way to ensure that CO-NBASLH is able to continue to fulfill it's mission. We appreciate your support!"
