Lisa Cisco Endowed Fund in Cancer Research

Lisa, along with her family and her team, has worked tirelessly for 15 years on the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer (BC4C) and hundreds of auxiliary fundraisers to raise over $30 million in donations to The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). 

At the conclusion of last year’s 15th Anniversary Cruise, an effort lead by Monica Hysell and Georgie Shockey was announced to establish the Lisa Cisco Endowed Fund in Cancer Research in celebration of 15 amazing years of the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer and in recognizing the endless time, passion and determination Lisa has committed to leading this effort and her dedication to fundraising at The James.

Thanks to the generosity of many in the room tonight, Lisa’s fund surpassed the $500,000 goal set and is fully endowed at more than $587,000 raised.

This fund will continue in perpetuity with the income generated supporting priority research projects for the cancer program. With the achievement of this goal, a companion fund in Lisa’s name was established so future gifts can be used right away to support our efforts and fund critical research projects.
