Welcome to the Buckeye Funder campaign for The Ohio State Women’s Rugby Club! Your support towards the advancement of our club’s activities is greatly appreciated. In Spring 2024, we traveled to the National Collegiate Rugby National 7s Tournament in Washington, DC. There we took home a bronze in the Women’s D1 Club Division. This year, we plan to head to the National Collegiate Rugby 15s Championship in Houston, Texas and take home gold!
With those goals in mind, we now want to incorporate live game footage into our team routine. Live game footage would greatly improve our ability to learn from past mistakes, gain support from people outside of the community and ultimately carry us closer to gold in Houston. The funds raised from this campaign will go towards the following expenses:
Rugby is a rewarding sport for many reasons. It includes a combination of speed, strategy and strength. But, above all, it is a place of acceptance for our members. There is a position for all, no matter experience level or body type. Rugby is for everyone, whether they are large or tiny; tall or short. There is also a place for those who want to join a community that is as tight off the field as it is on the field. We train and play hard to win, but equally enjoy the time spent at post-game socials with our teammates and opponents. We are a community that thrives together and builds each others’ confidence and strength. It is a safe space no matter one’s identity, background or sexual orientation.
