Tessa Marie's Cause For A Cure ARDS Fundraiser & Memorial Ride in honor of a beautiful life lost to soon.

Tessa Marie Clagg was born April 16,1995. Tessa Marie gained her wings on February 09, 2020 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Tessa passed away after she developed ACUTE RESPIRATORY DISTRESS SYNDROME (ARDS). She was admitted to Fairfield Medical Center February 6, 2020. After an hour in the ICU unit she was put on a ventilator. She went to Ohio State on February 07, 2020. The doctors did everything possible to save her.

Our family had no idea of what ARDS even was when Tessa lost her life to it. There is still very little information about it. As her mom I was totally lost trying to find answers. People need to know about ARDS AND THE OUTCOMES. Families should never be left wondering what something is or if it was preventable or how it was caused. This event is to raise awareness to ARDS to let others know the name of it, and to raise money to support the team of doctors at Ohio State currently trying to figure this medical condition out through research. It cannot be done alone the team at Ohio State needs our help. It may not help today, tomorrow or even in a year but someday it will help another family not say goodbye to their loved one.

The Memorial Ride will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. We will only be collecting donations on this day. If you can make a donation you can do so the same day or via this page. Decals will also be available for donations only. All proceeds will go to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center to aide in finding a cure for ARDS. We will travel around the Buckeye Lake, Ohio area making various stop to raise awareness to this rare life threatening condition. We would ask if possible to wear the color blue that day as that is the official color for ARDS. Every single penny counts. So be a part of something amazing be a part of saving another person's life.
