The LiFEsports initiative has been using sport “to prepare youth for life and leadership” since 2009. More than 11,000 deserving young people in our community have directly participated in our summer camp and clinic programming along with many more involved in our Youth Leadership Academy which serves high school students. LiFEsports recognizes that youth sports are about much more than playing ball – it’s about giving young people skills they can use both on and off the field. That’s why LiFEsports uses athletics to teach youth valuable life skills. Our activities focus on four critical social skills that will help them grow and mature: Self-control, Effort, Teamwork and Social Responsibility, or S.E.T.S.
This summer, LiFEsports is working to offer summer camp programming in not just one but seven different locations:
- Ohio State’s main campus
- Beatty Community Center
- Linden Community Center
- Adams Community Center
- Davis Middle School (Dublin City schools)
- Starling Elementary (Columbus City Schools)
- Georgian Heights Elementary (Columbus City Schools)
Since 2018, LiFEsports has grown from offering just one camp each summer to now seven. LiFEsports camps will serve over 950 youth this summer, but we can't do it without your help!
Can you help support sending a child to camp this summer?
Your donation will directly contribute to teaching our youth the life skills they need to move forward in sport, school and life. Your gift today will help LiFEsports continue to impact our community, one child at a time.
