The Ohio State University Flight Team looks forward to once again representing our great university as we have qualified for NIFA National SAFECON 2023, hosted by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). Our team has been building off our momentum at Region III SAFECON in October and have been working hard at practice as we prepare to take a national championship. In May, the team and both Cessna 150's will travel from Columbus to Oshkosh, WI for a week of competition among collegiate aviation's best schools.
This year, we are raising $15,000 to support the team in the below initiatives:
- Travel to NIFA SAFECON 2023
- We are traveling a full team and three airplanes to Wisconsin. Expenses include practice flight hours, travel flight time, lodging, competition fees and competition flight costs.
- Ongoing Aircraft Operating Costs
- Increased aircraft parts and labor costs have impacted the aviation industry, and our team is no exception. The Cessna 150's are continued to be meticulously maintained to provide the very best safety and flight experience for the students.
Thank you for your continued support of the Ohio State Flight Team. We intend to do our part and carry on the tradition of excellence set by our alumni and keep Ohio State Aviation at the top of the collegiate scale.
