My name is Maelyn Cheng and I am a first year PharmD candidate from Reynoldsburg, Ohio. I am part of a seven-year program at the College of Pharmacy that combines the last year of undergrad and first year of pharmacy school. During my time at Ohio State, I have been able to serve as president for one of the oldest student service organizations on campus, Ohio Staters, Incorporated and be a member of the 117th Class of the SPHINX Senior Honorary.
As healthcare professionals, we are taught the importance of accessibility. At Ohio State’s Total Health and Wellness, they aim to provide care to those living in underserved areas. Located at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center East Hospital, this clinic is led by the teamwork of care providers such as nurse practitioners, pharmacists and community health workers.
