Join me in providing scholarship support for the students behind Ohio State's mascot, Brutus.
Although my giving page is no longer active, you can still donate. If you would like to provide any additional support, please make a gift here.
My name is Will Moddeman, and I am a senior on track to graduate with my Bachelor’s degree in Public Management, Leadership and Policy as well as receive my Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a minor in Legal Foundations of Society. Throughout my time at Ohio State, I have had the opportunity to grow academically, personally and professionally in ways I never thought imaginable. This is absolutely thanks to the amazing spirit, traditions and people at one of the top public universities in the country.
When people think of the spirit and traditions of Ohio State there are two main things you think of: an emphatic “O-H” followed by “I-O”, and the infamous nut that is Brutus Buckeye. A recent Lantern article made me aware of the drastic impact our university’s mascot has outside of athletics with over 400 school and community events each year. Despite his immense popularity and high frequency of events, the students who represent Ohio State as Brutus Buckeye do not receive full academic scholarships. The Brutus Buckeye Endowment Fund helps fund scholarships for those students lucky enough to elevate their school spirit to the next level and bring joy to so many of us not only at Ohio State but across the country.
