Support the LGBTQ community at Ohio State by making a gift to the National Coming Out Day Buckeye Funder campaign. The funds raised will support our student scholarship program!
For over 30 years, members and friends of Ohio State’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community have published an ad in The Lantern for National Coming Out Day (NCOD). Scarlet and Gay began coordinating the NCOD ad fundraiser when we became an alumni society, and we’re celebrating our 22nd anniversary this year! The deadline to give and have your name appear in the NCOD ad (if desired) is Wednesday, October 11th. The ad will run in The Lantern on October 19th.

Lastly, we always encourage alumni and current students who are part of the LGBTQ community (including allies) to self-identify through the alumni association to receive communication regarding Scarlet and Gay events as well as leadership opportunities.

Make a gift of $20.01 in honor of Scarlet and Gay's founding anniversary as a society in 2001.
Make a gift of $50 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of women being allowed to march in the Ohio State University Marching Band.
Make a gift of $100 in celebration of the 10,000-student milestone in 1923.
Make a gift of $198.80 in honor of the first National Coming Out Day in 1988.
Make a gift of $628.69 in remembrance of the riots at the Stonewall Inn which began on June 28, 1969, and marked a monumental shift for LGBTQ individuals.
Make a gift of $1,012 to help cover a student’s costs of books and supplies for one year.
Make a gift of $2,000 or more to award a scholarship and have the opportunity to attend our scholarship reception.
