The Ohio State University Men’s Soccer Club is a student run organization that provides students with the opportunity to further their soccer careers in a competitive manner without the requirements that apply to a varsity athlete. The team is made up of 30 student athletes and one coach who volunteers and dedicates his time to the team. The team and coach push each other to be the best soccer players they can be, while creating bonds and friendships that make us better individuals. The team practices three times a week while in season and have one or more games on the weekends during the fall semester. The team spends lots of time together on and off the field and it truly becomes a family like environment. As things currently stand, we are four games into the regular season with a record of 7-2-0 (W-T-L) and compete in the Eastern Division of the Men’s Midwest Alliance Soccer Conference while playing teams throughout the state of Ohio. Last season OSUFC went 8-1-1 and qualified for the Regional tournament that took place October 29-31. OSUFC traveled to Westfield, Indiana for the Regional Tournament and won its ninth Regional Championship in team history as the Buckeyes defeated Wisconsin 2-0 in the Regional Final. OSUFC received an automatic bid to play in the National Tournament in Round Rock, Texas in late November. Now OSUFC is on track to go back to Westfield, Indiana to defend their Regional Championship and get another chance at the National Championship in Round Rock, TX for the 2023 season.
The funds raised from this campaign will help the team offset the following expenses:
