Dr. Stephanie Abrams was an exceptional individual who brought a deep passion to veterinary medicine and left a positive mark on the lives of all who she touched. Dr. Abrams, a veterinary dermatologist at Tufts VETS who completed her dermatology residency and MS degree at The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, was an inspiring colleague and clinician. She was passionate about delivering the highest standard of care for her patients as well as providing client education and veterinary student training. The veterinary community will remember her gentle demeanor, brilliant intellect and true passion for veterinary medicine. During her courageous battle with cancer, she was still able to find great joy and solace when practicing veterinary dermatology.
While gone too soon, we hope to continue her influence and spread her passion of veterinary medicine to future generations of veterinarians. The Dr. Stephanie Abrams Veterinary Medicine Dermatology Resident Support Fund will provide support for residents in dermatology at Ohio State's College of Veterinary Medicine. Once this fund reaches the $100,000 threshold, it will be able to support dermatology residents in perpetuity. Her fund, memory and name will then be around forever. We have until September 2028 to meet this goal to become an endowment.
Our hope is to continue the memory and indomitable spirit of Dr. Abrams through this program, ensuring that her enduring legacy continues to make an impact on an industry to which she wholeheartedly devoted herself to. In doing so, we aim to keep alive the essence of her work and the profound influence she had on the field.
