Beginning in 2002, the Stanberry Cup was created in honor of Lynn Stanberry to recognize her support of OVR’s Solo program even when she was very ill. OVR’s Solo program has made a commitment to supporting programs that increase breast cancer awareness, education and research. The funds raised here and at the Stanberry Cup event on October 7, 2023 will be donated to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James).
It was Lynn’s desire to see more women involved in motorsports. Every year, the Stanberry Cup award is given to a female member of OVR whose active participation, whether through competition, promotion or support of OVR’s events, furthers the OVR Solo program.
We seek to honor Lynn by celebrating women in motorsports and donating to breast cancer research.
