The Walter T. Bradley II Research & Education Fund was started in memory of Walter Bradley, who suffered from heart disease. Walter had his first heart attack at the age of 45 and three stents were placed in his heart. Because of the research done at The Ohio State University Heart and Vascular Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, Walter was able to resume a normal life. He was a lover of life, family, friends and so very grateful to be given another chance to live! We were blessed to have him with us for another 15 years.
Unfortunately, and so very devastating to all, he lost his life 15 years later, because of heart disease. We are so very grateful for the additional 15 years we, as a family, shared with him, yet so wish we still had him with us today.
Because of our devastating loss, together, as a family, we saw the great need to create The Walter T. Bradley II Research & Education Fund, in his memory. Through the years we have hosted many events to raise funds in Walter’s memory. All of the proceeds from our fundraisers go to research and education. It is our belief that only through research and education can cures be discovered and save lives. Our goal is to continue raising funds to help cure heart disease. With your help through donations, no matter the amount, amazing advancements can be made, in the hope that no other families will lose a loved one to heart disease.
February is Heart Health Month – the perfect time to raise awareness and teach heart disease prevention methods. It’s important to know that through research and education, 98% of heart disease can be prevented.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, our family wishes a “Heart Healthy Valentine’s Day” to all who have their loved ones with them. And to those who are missing their loved ones today and every day, know that our hearts are with you.
Our family is asking for your help during Heart Month and always. Please make a gift today in honor or memory of your loved ones.
We will continue to send updates about our fundraising progress and future events.
The Bradley Family thanks you from “The Bottom of our Hearts to Yours,” for every penny raised! Our best to all your Hearts!
