The Morrill Scholars Program has truly changed my life. As a Morrill Scholar, I’ve had the privilege of being part of a community that believes in social justice, in lifting each other up, and in making real change. This program has given me so much more than just financial support—it has given me a family. From the moment I joined the Morrill Scholars Living Learning Community as a freshman, I’ve met people who have shaped who I am today. My mentors have guided me through tough moments, my friends have become like family, and the residents I mentor have become people I deeply care about and will always support.
For me, this scholarship has taken away the stress of wondering how I would pay for school, a burden that so many students and families face. It’s not just about my education; it’s about my parents, too. The Morrill Scholarship has eased their worries, allowing me to pursue my dreams without the constant weight of financial pressure. I want other students to experience this relief, to have the chance to focus on their academics, their passions, and their drive to make a difference in the world.
