Greetings Buckeye Friends!
Welcome to The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Greater Cincinnati's Buckeye Funder page for the 1st year student Endowment Memorial Scholarship! Our mission since 1966 has been to pay forward the opportunities our Ohio State education has afforded us. To support this mission, we have established two scholarship funds—the Junior & Senior Endowment and the Freshmen Alumni Scholars Program (ASP)—to provide these opportunities to current and future Buckeyes from the Cincinnati area.
Since 1981, our scholarship funds have supported local students with over $157,000 in scholarships, including $47,400 awarded to 29 students over the past six years. For the '24-'25 academic year, we are proud to announce two new scholarship recipients who will receive a combined $6,000.
This spring, we were thrilled to announce a major development in our scholarship program. We are launching a fundraising campaign to convert our Freshmen ASP scholarship into a long-term endowment which will support Freshman and Sophomores. This decision ensures that our mission of paying it forward will continue for generations to come. Our goal is to raise $100,000 over the next five years to achieve endowment status.
We are excited to kick off our 1st year student Endowment Memorial Scholarship fundraising campaign with the '24 Buckeye Funder campaign. Giving has never been easier! Simply choose one of our pre-set giving levels or enter your own amount under the "Give Now" tab.
Thanks to the generosity of others, we have received a matching gift commitment totaling $10,000. This means that every dollar you give to this campaign between now and October 5, 2024, will be matched, doubling your impact!
With over 13,000 alumni in the Greater Cincinnati region, we are confident in our ability to reach our $25,000 goal. However, we cannot do it without your support. Please consider making a gift today to ensure that an Ohio State education remains accessible to deserving students!
