For more than 50 years, Student Life Disability Services (SLDS), has been committed to creating an accessible educational experience for students with disabilities. SLDS partners with students, faculty and staff to design accessible environments and to provide accommodations and support services. From accessible media and peer-based notetaking support to complex individualized accommodations plans, SLDS serves more than 7,000 Ohio State students each year.

Students with disabilities make up an important population of Ohio State. According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, at Ohio State, approximately 1 out of 5 undergraduate students and 1 out of 8 grad students have a disability. Support from SLDS allows students to learn and be evaluated fairly, based on their merits and not their disability-related barriers. SLDS creates pathways for students with disabilities to achieve their full potential, leading to higher retention, graduation, and employment rates. Your donation to Student Life Disability Services will help an undergraduate, graduate or professional student overcome barriers to academic success.
