Help honor Dr. Gregorek’s legacy
The late Professor Gerald Gregorek was a beloved professor, chair of the Department of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, and director of the Aeronautical and Astronautical Research Laboratory. Naming the Aerospace Educational Lab in honor of Professor Gregorek reflects his lifelong dedication to student success.
To honor Professor Gregorek’s legacy, an anonymous donor has generously pledged a $50,000 matching gift to the Gerald Gregorek Aerospace Educational Lab Fund, a key initiative supporting the modernization and renovation of experiential learning space in Bolz Hall.
Join us in paying tribute to aviation pioneer Gerald Gregorek and investing in the next generation of aerospace engineers at Ohio State, with your donation doubled through the matching gift.
Your contribution, matched dollar-for-dollar will help a lasting impact on the future generation of Aerospace Engineers.
About the Aerospace Educational Lab
The goal for this space is to create an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration and experiential learning. The lab will serve a mixed-use shared space where interdisciplinary research can be conducted and where several aerospace-related student organizations can collaborate. Funds raised will enhance the student experience and better prepare future aerospace engineers by upgrading the infrastructure of the lab and implementation of modern technology.
“We are a program known for experiential education,” said Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Assistant Professor of Practice Brian Ritchie. “These renovations will significantly increase those hands-on opportunities for undergraduate students by bringing more labs into the courses with current equipment.”
