Join me in helping to improve the lives of our homeless youth in Columbus and Central Ohio.

Hello! My name is Ritika Harish, and I am a third-year student at The Ohio State University majoring in Finance with minors in Business Analytics and Economics. Alongside my academics, I am actively involved in student organizations such as Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity and Pay it Forward.

Through Alpha Phi Omega, I have had the opportunity to support community initiatives including food pantry volunteering, cultural programming, and awareness campaigns on topics like suicide prevention and domestic violence. In my leadership roles, I have fostered meaningful dialogue, coordinated service projects, and helped create a more inclusive chapter environment. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of the challenges marginalized groups, including unhoused individuals, face in accessing consistent support and resources.

Academically and professionally, my studies in Finance and Economics have strengthened my awareness of how systemic barriers—such as income inequality, limited access to credit, and economic instability—contribute to long-term cycles of hardship, including homelessness. As someone passionate about both finance and social equity, I believe supporting the Homeless Youth Research Fund is a powerful way to address these inequities and create opportunities for change.

I am honored to serve on the 2025 Ohio State Homecoming Court and to use my platform to support the Homeless Youth Research Fund. Homelessness is a life-threatening condition that disproportionately affects vulnerable populations, especially youth. With your support, we can connect unhoused youth with the critical resources, stability, and opportunities they need and deserve.
