Join me in supporting the community service initiatives of the Student-Alumni Council.

Hi! My name is Leah Wassef, and I am a fourth-year Accounting major from Toledo, Ohio. As a senior in high school, I knew I wanted to come to Ohio State because of the endless opportunities it provides. The size of this university and the unwavering support from our alumni network, faculty, and student body have proven this true time and time again. For me, the Student-Alumni Council (SAC) has been the source of some of my most meaningful experiences, including the honor of serving on the Homecoming Court.

From discovering SAC at the involvement fair as a freshman to serving on the executive board, I have met countless alumni, explored new career paths, and strengthened my leadership skills. SAC’s mission is “to advance The Ohio State University through programs that enhance the student experience, promote student-alumni interaction, establish a spirit of loyalty to the university, and cultivate relationships between students: past, present, and future.”

This mission comes to life through events such as our Pay It Forward initiative, which plans community service opportunities for the Ohio State and Columbus communities. The Student-Alumni Council Service Endowment directly funds these initiatives, supporting organizations such as the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and Columbus Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS). Through these programs, I have been able to connect with our local community and see firsthand the power of Buckeyes helping Buckeyes.

You can help us continue this impact. By supporting the SAC Service Endowment, you are directly investing in Ohio State students, the Columbus community, and the lifelong spirit of Buckeye service and connection.
