Fully-funded Gratitude

Thanks to your generosity, not only did you help the students in (English 3304) Business and Professional Writing exceed their fundraising goal of $2800, but you have fully funded an entire grant award cycle for next year’s Pay It Forward. This means that another class of students will get to participate in this impactful and positive service-learning experience.
After 15 years, we are also excited to share with you that the name of the program will change from Pay It Forward to Marion Pays It Forward so that we can honor the work our regional Ohio State students are doing in this community of Marion, Ohio.

Hey again Buckeyes,
To start this off, we just would like to say a huge thanks to those who have already donated to this year's Pay It Forward Campaign! Thanks to the generosity of our donors so far, after just 10 days we are already 27% of our goal, having raised $640 towards our goal of $2,800!

As we continue on, we’d like to give a huge thanks to our amazing faculty and staff who have already donated. We appreciate the overwhelming support you have given to us, your generosity and hard work towards our success as students does not go unnoticed!
Your support and contribution to help the students at OSUM are not only giving them an opportunity to become better writers, they are given the opportunity to give back to the community they have grown with and one that supports them. It is more than just a campaign; your donations are allowing our students to be able to research real issues happening in the Marion community, evaluate non-profit organizations, and award meaningful grant funding. We have helped so many organizations throughout the years, and we will keep continuing to do so with these opportunities!

Over the past 10 years, Pay It Forward has helped raise tens of thousands for the Marion community. In the past, Pay it Forward has funded many causes, ranging from helping those in poverty to supporting local education for students.
Our class has set a goal of $2,800 to reach by the end of our fundraiser. This wonderful fundraiser ends on March 9th. If you haven't already, please be sure to donate before then if you’d love to help the community and give students the learning opportunity. Even the smallest amount can help someone in need!
Buckeyes, even just skipping your coffee tomorrow and donating that money would make a difference in reaching our goal. So please help your classmates and the wonderful Marion Community with this opportunity.
