Established in their memory, the scholarship seeks to support future dental professionals who reflect the compassion, leadership, generosity, and commitment to others that Spencer and Monique demonstrated throughout their lives. A proud alumnus of The Ohio State University, Spencer Tepe earned both his undergraduate and dental degrees before pursuing a career defined by service, mentorship, and a passion for the dental profession. He cared deeply about organized dentistry, valued opportunities to guide and encourage others, and brought energy and enthusiasm to everything he did. Whether through his profession, his friendships, or his role within his family, Spencer was known for his loyalty, humor, and ability to make people feel welcomed and valued.
Monique Tepe devoted her life to caring for and uplifting those around her. After earning her graduate degree in early childhood education from The Ohio State University, she became known for her warmth, positivity, and deeply compassionate nature. Friends and family remember Monique for her joyful personality, her kindness toward others, and the genuine encouragement and support she offered so freely. Her love for family, children, and community was evident in every aspect of her life.
Together, Spencer and Monique created a life centered on family, friendship, service, and connection. They were known for bringing people together, opening their home and hearts to others, and creating lasting memories through their generosity, humor, and care for those around them. Their legacy continues through the countless lives they touched and through the students who will be supported by this scholarship in their honor.
Preference shall be given to students with demonstrated financial need who exhibit a heart for service, leadership within their communities, and a passion for dentistry. Additional preference may be given to students who demonstrate involvement in organized dentistry through membership, mentorship, and related leadership activities.
