Hello, my name is Gracie Sprague, and I am a fourth-year student at The Ohio State University studying Agriscience Education. 

My connection to Ohio State began long before I stepped onto campus. At 8 years old, I joined 4-H, a program of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences that brings Ohio State into communities across all 88 counties.

The 4-H motto is “To Make the Best Better,” and I’m grateful Ohio 4-H has left me better than it found me. It gave a community and a connection to the university I am now proud to call home. 4-H gave me an appreciation for agriculture and showed me what it means to contribute to something bigger than myself.

Through livestock projects, camps, conferences, and leadership opportunities, I gained experiences that shaped both who I am and the leader I strive to be. 4-H camp encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and meet new people. Exhibiting market sheep and swine taught me responsibility and the value of hard work. 

“Time and change will surely show” reminds us that our connection to Ohio State continues to grow throughout every stage of life. From my first experiences in 4-H to the mentors and friends who have supported me as a student, Ohio State has continually helped me grow as a leader.

That is why I am proud to support Ohio 4-H through being a part of the 2026 Homecoming Court. Your contribution will help ensure that young people across Ohio continue to discover their potential and develop into leaders who make the best better.
