Support the LGBTQ community at Ohio State by making a gift to the National Coming Out Day Buckeye Funder campaign.

For over 30 years, members and friends of Ohio State’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community have published an ad in The Lantern for National Coming Out Day (NCOD). Scarlet and Gay began coordinating the NCOD ad fundraising campaign when we became an alumni society 25 years ago! This year, the deadline to give and have your name appear in the NCOD ad (if desired) is Friday, September 25. It will run in The Lantern on October 11.  

The funds raised will be used to provide scholarships to students who are selected through the application process, program support and The Lantern ad. Scholarships are open to students without respect to sex, gender, sexual orientation or identity.

If you've already made your gift, thank you! And if this is your first time participating, welcome! Please encourage other members of our community and allies to contribute and share our campaign with their personal networks. If you have any questions about the NCOD ad, please contact Matt Hall.

Lastly, we always encourage alumni and current students who are part of the LGBTQ community (including allies) to self-identify through the alumni association to receive communication regarding Scarlet and Gay events and leadership opportunities.
