Strengthen Polish Studies at Ohio State
Description
Advance Polish Studies at Ohio State. Support scholarships, research and cultural programming through PSI!
Help shape the future of global scholarship by contributing to the Polish Studies Initiative (PSI) at The Ohio State University. Your support directly funds scholarships, grants, research opportunities, language study, cultural programming and educational events that advance Polish Studies at Ohio State and connect students, scholars and the broader community with Poland’s rich cultural, linguistic, political and historical heritage.
About PSI
Established in 2012, PSI is an interdisciplinary program housed within the Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies (CSEEES). It thrives through collaboration with departments across Ohio State, including Social Work, Political Science, Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures, Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies and the Office of International Affairs. PSI’s mission is to promote the study of Poland through research, education and public engagement.
What Your Gift Supports
Each year, PSI hosts lectures, film screenings and cultural events that bring Poland’s vibrant heritage to life and highlight up-and-coming research on topics related to the country. Through its annual grant and scholarship competition, PSI funds:
- Undergraduate and graduate students studying Polish language and area studies abroad
- Internships in Poland
- Research travel for faculty and postdoctoral scholars
- Tuition for Ohio State students pursuing second- and third-year Polish language study
- On-campus events and activities related to Polish studies

Your support helps preserve and promote Poland’s rich cultural heritage for future generations. By donating, you’re not only funding travel and research, you’re investing in transformative experiences that shape future scholars, global citizens and leaders in our field. Every gift helps expand access to international learning, research and cultural exchange.
If you’ve donated before, thank you so much! We invite you to amplify your impact by sharing our Buckeye Funder campaign with friends, colleagues and fellow supporters. Every contribution helps expand access to global learning and research.
