We received word that 2 braillewriters are in route to our program. We are thrilled. We keep watching the tracking to see when they will arrive.
Some donors have chosen to provide us with a machine as their donation. Did you know that you will still receive verification of a tax deductible donation even if you donate a machine? We are working with our Buckeye Funder office to provide monetary values of all braillewriters we receive.
We will take all braillewriters. Check your closets, basements, and work spaces for old braillewriters. We do not mind if they are broken, dirty, or need a little TLC. We have volunteers to help with all repairs.
We thank you for your support.
We are making progress toward our goal. Please help us spread the word.
Did you know that in Ohio, pre-service teachers taking the licensure test for intervention specialists of the visually impaired need to bring their own braillewriter to the examination? With the test only being offered 4 times a year, we will not have enough machines for our students to take the exam. This is why your donation is so important. Not only are you impacting the learning of braille in the students' coursework, but are also helping them to obtain licensure.
We have had one offer of a used braillewriter. We happily accepted. We will take monetary donations and machine donations.
Thank you again for your help!
