As an Ohio State student there are few experiences more memorable than being apart of the Ohio State vs. Michigan football rivalry tradition. Whether that game is in The Shoe or on the road at The Big House, watching and cheering on the Buckeyes during “The Game” is something we as students never forget. It’s also an experience we feel every student should have the ability to participate in regardless of financial situation.
As is tradition, Block “O” as a sports student organization at Ohio State funds a biannual road trip that sends the most dedicated and passionate Ohio State student sports fans up to Ann Arbor to cheer on the Bucks. This year because of the ever increasing price of football tickets our road trip has not been fully funded, meaning students would need to pay roughly $150 each to attend. At this point in the year your typical Ohio State student has spent $272 on football tickets and $136 on basketball tickets and any additional non-academic costs are not able to be met. This additional cost should not stand in the way of sending our most dedicated and crazy student fans up to “The Game”. Because of this reasoning, Block “O” is reaching out to our Alumni and general OSU population to aid us in sending students up to the Michigan game this November by donating on this crowd funding page. 100% of all donations will be used to aid this road trip.
The current rivalry record is at 58 Michigan wins - 48 Ohio State wins - 6 ties
Block "O" is in its 79th year of keeping OSU sports traditions.
The miles that separate The Shoe from The Big House we'll travelling to.
