While most of you should have received a Thank You Card in the mail, we wanted to personally thank all of you for your donations and support. It was a fantastic season on and off the field as both teams secured their 3rd consecutive conference titles and placed 3rd at the Regional Playoff Tournament. DI completed their first ever undefeated conference season, while DII went 14 and 1. We also participated in 3 community service projects including the annual Toys 4 Tots drive where our team collected the 2nd most toys out of 58 clubs and we also hosted the Linden-McKinley High School for the Columbus City Classic. Lastly, this is the first time in program history both teams finished the season ranked in the top 10 nationally out of 268 teams between the NCBA DI and DII levels. Again, we could not have achieved all of this success without your donations. Thank you again and GO BUCKS!
84% to our goal after only 25 days! What amazing support by all of our family, friends, and supporters of the program! We can't thank you enough for all of your donations online and via checks. Only 5 days left to make a donation and only 8 days until our season kicks off in Tampa, Florida for the NCBA Spring Training Showcase! Both teams will play 6 games versus top Club teams from across the country during our Spring Break.
In our last video update of the donation campaign, DI Secretary, Dominic Pestello, provides his thoughts on how the program has impacted him and DII Vice-President, Patrick Riley gives thanks to all of your generous donors!
First, we would like to thank everyone who have already donated. We are currently at over 78% of our goal when accounting for offline check donations! Every donation counts and helps us offset expenses as we make another run for the playoffs and hopefully two national championships!
Our newest DII officers, Joseph Juza-President, and James Zajaczkowski-Secretary, share their thoughts on the club program this week and how it's impacted their experience at Ohio State. Thank you again to everyone who has donated!
Jay Wilhelm, a 3rd year member, and Zach Uzzel, a 4th year member of the club, discuss the impact the program has had on them. Both of them were apart of the NCBA DII World Series team last season that finished in 3rd place after winning their conference and regional titles. The team fell short to eventual national champions, Slippery Rock University, in the semi-finals in an epic 3 to 2 loss. This year's team features 14 returning players from that squad and look to make another run at a National Championship after starting the fall season 5 and 1 in conference play. DI Officers, Kent Axcell and Nick Lankard, provide insight on why they enjoy the baseball club and how your donations can help the team be successful! We are already at 17% of our goal in only 4 days. We are incredibly thankful for everyone that has donated. The DI team starts their Spring season in two weeks versus Toledo while DII starts a week later in a tough conference match-up with Dayton.
The program has won 10 conference titles including 7 in Division I and 3 in Division II
There have been 17 Division I and 2 Division DII NCBA All-Americans since the league started in 2001.
