About the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program
The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program is a not-for-profit organization that has a long history of empowering young women through providing scholarships to further their education. The Miss America Organization is the leading scholarship provider for young women in the United States. The four points of the crown represent: Scholarship, Service, Style and Success. By encouraging the spirit of volunteerism, and creating and maintaining a system of competition, contestants receive opportunities and experiences, which enhance them as role models, representing positive American values.
My Mission as Miss Ohio 2017
As the 70th Miss Ohio, I am on a mission to award over $70,000 in scholarships this year at the Miss Ohio Competition. I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2016 Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Architecture. After capturing the title of Miss Ohio this past June, I embarked on a mission to create a scholarship that would benefit future young women who seek to better themselves academically, personally and professionally by capitalizing on opportunities provided by The Ohio State University. I am who I am today because of my experiences as a student at OSU and my dream is that Miss Ohio’s for years to come will have that same opportunity.
